Our current volunteering opportunities

So that we can continue to support local people into 2023 and beyond, we are looking to recruit a number of new volunteers across our projects:

  • The Shed volunteers – based at our woodworking shop in Queen Street, Redcar – various times/days.  Opportunities for general session volunteers, workshop and community project volunteers.
  • First Steps project – based at our warehouse in Dormanstown – Mondays and/or Thursdays 8.30am-12noon.  This role will involve sorting donations of baby and children’s clothing and equipment and making up parcels for referrals.
  • Redcar Area Foodbank – based at our warehouse in Dormanstown – Mondays and/or Thursdays 8.30am-12noon. Sorting and weighing-in donations of food and making-up orders to go out to our nine foodbank centres across the area.
  • Footprints Community Cafe based inside South Tees Community Bank on Redcar High Street – various opportunities Monday to Friday 11am-2pm. This role may involve serving customers, clearing tables, operating the till and some food preparation.

If you think volunteering with Footprints could be for you, please email volunteer@footprintsinthecommunity.co.uk or telephone 01642 484842 to arrange an informal chat with Rachel, our Volunteer Coordinator.
