Our current volunteering opportunities
We are currently recruiting volunteers across our projects:
- The Shed volunteers – based at our woodworking shop in Queen Street, Redcar – various times/days. Opportunities for general session volunteers, workshop and community project volunteers. Previous woodworking experience desirable.
- Art/Craft volunteers – various opportunities Monday to Friday daytimes and potential evenings/weekends. Opportunities to help support our Artspace group and Community Wellbeing Partnership’s art and craft wellbeing sessions at various venues across the Redcar area.
- First Steps project – based at our warehouse in Dormanstown – Mondays 8.30am-12noon (and/or some Thursdays 8.30am-12noon). This role involves sorting donations and fulfilling referrals.
- Redcar Area Foodbank (Foodbank Centres) – various opportunities within our nine foodbank centres across the Redcar & Cleveland area – Monday – Friday daytimes. Welcoming clients, packing food parcels, preparing snacks/drinks and general help.
- Redcar Area Foodbank (Warehouse) – based at our warehouse in Dormanstown – Mondays and/or Thursdays 8.30am-12noon. Sorting and weighing-in donations of food and making-up orders to go out to our nine foodbank centres across the area.
- Footprints Community Cafe based on Redcar High Street – various opportunities Monday to Friday 11am-2pm. This role may involve serving customers, clearing tables, operating the till and some food preparation.
